Goal-Setting Mistakes - How To Accomplish Your Dreams

Have you had a longstanding goal that you've tried and tried to accomplish yet it never gets done? You might have struggled with it for years, seen some positive glimpses of fruition here and there, but somehow it's always out of reach. There are some very good reasons for it that just might surprise you!



1. Have Clear Goals That Excite You

The truth is, only 5 out of every 100 people achieve the success they desire. So what’s so special about successful people? How are they different? Why are they succeeding at their dreams and you aren’t? The answer is easy, successful people know exactly what they want and they stop at nothing to achieve it. They don’t let that fearful little voice inside sabotage them, nor do they let the negativity in their past control them. Despite poverty, abuse, health problems, or other obstacles, they excelled.

2. Stay Focused No Matter What

People who fail are really not that different than those who succeed. (Trust me, I've failed many, many times!) After all, they too want to fulfill their dreams and accomplish their goals. The problem is, their minds are all over the place and their past holds them back. They begin working on a goal with complete determination, only to lose steam once they lose sight of their destination, they suffer a setback, or those old patterns rise to the surface.

3. Know What You Want And Why

You can’t succeed at something if you have no idea why you want to achieve it for yourself. Many of us go through life failing at success simply because we’re chasing dreams that aren’t ours. Perhaps these dreams belonged to our parents; it’s what they wanted for us but not what we truly want. Or maybe the dreams you’re chasing found their way into your mind due to what you’ve seen in the media or read in a motivational book. If we followed the media route, we'd forever be chasing the "rich, famous, and beautiful" route. Talk about stress!

4. Release Outgrown Dreams

Or, you may have had this dream when you were much younger and thought all along that this is what you truly want, but as time went on you couldn't admit to yourself that the goal was no longer important. Somehow, we see it as failure if we give up on a dream path that used to be important to us yet we never accomplished it. Why be so hard on yourself? You're meant to change and grow throughout life! I wanted to be a nurse when I was younger and for many years it bothered me that I never accomplished that dream. As I got older I realized that it was a "younger me dream" but I had since outgrown it and wanted to take a different type of healing path.

5. Make New Goals That Align With The Current You

You need to be driven in order to accomplish your goals. All of your energy and motivation comes from the desire to succeed at your very own personal dreams. If you have one or more things on your "to do list" that have been sitting there for months, years, even decades, ask yourself if this is something you really want or if the desire came from some outside influence or yesterday's you. Once you're honest with yourself you should feel a sense of a relief, more clarity, and eagerness to move forward with what truly matters to you. 

If you know what you want and are completely focused on achieving it, if you know why you want it and will do whatever it takes to make it happen, then you can’t possibly fail. You will succeed to one degree or another.

Inner Peace In A Chaotic World - Heart Meditation

This is a brief meditation I do when life is difficult, stressful, or downright insane. It always brings me back to my center and calms me, helping me to focus on love rather than frustration. When we do things with love, when we come from a place of love, when we extend love to others, life just works better. People are more helpful and more positive things tend to come my way. Give this a try today and everyday!

Heart Meditation

By following the steps below you can quiet your mind and find peace and wisdom within, no matter what's going on in your life or around you. If you do this every day when you first wake up you'll find that life becomes easier. You'll be able to attract better opportunities, health, love, and happiness, as well as being able to think more clearly and from a higher place. This is also a great exercise to do when you're feeling stressed, confused, frustrated, or simply want to reconnect with your higher self.

1. Go someplace quiet and sit down. Close your eyes and take a slow, deep, cleansing breath through your nose. You're breathing in energy, clarity, and peace. Now exhale slowly, breathing out stress, tension, and anxiety. Do this five times, or until you feel a bit more relaxed.

2. As you continue to slowly breathe in and out, shift your attention away from your mind and focus on your heart. Your heart is where peace and love lives at all times, regardless of what's going on inside your mind or in your life. Keep your attention on your heart and as you breathe in imagine your heart filling with a warm light. Let this light be any color you wish. Imagine your heart glowing,expanding, relaxing.

3. Now imagine this light spreading from your heart to all areas of your body. This peaceful yet energizing light fills your chest and head, your stomach, your back, your hips and legs and feet. Every cell inside you glows with this light. This light is the unconditional love that lives within you. A love that comes from your higher self, your guides, your angels.

4. When you feel, or envision, that your entire body is gently glowing or vibrating with this light, place your right hand over your heart and bring your mental focus there. Ask what your heart needs you to know at this time. What do you truly need at this point in time? What are you looking for, yearning for, aiming for? Ask your heart to send you a message then be silent and wait for any type of communication you may receive.

5. Have faith and believe that the answer you receive is what you need at this moment for your highest good. If the answer is loving, helpful, soothing and solid then you know it's right.

6. Visualize yourself following this guidance. How will your life change once this desire, wish or goal is achieved? Imagine it in as much detail as possible.

7. Take action on the information you received in any way that feels good and right to you. What steps do you need to take each day to achieve this goal? Smile to yourself, allowing these positive feelings to spread throughout you. This is your truth.

8. Breathe a few more times and let it all go. Know that your higher self, guides and angels will help you achieve this. Trust that you will be led in the right direction, that the "way" will unfold before you.

9. Open your eyes and stretch a bit before standing up and going about your day. Allow these feelings of peace and love to extend outward to everyone you come in contact with today. When we come from a place of love, life is so much easier!

Good Luck, Concidence, or Miracle? How Will You Know?



When it comes to those moments when a miracle takes place, will you know it? Will you recognize it as something truly special and not simply good luck or coincidence? The way I know a miracle has taken place in my life is because I feel differently inside. Not just a spark of happiness over something positive taking place, but when I witness a miracle and make the right decisions in my life I feel lighter. Do you ever notice how heavy you feel when life isn't going well? But when life is positive you stand taller, laugh more, breathe more deeply, and you walk differently. One of my client's actually hears a song in her head when a miracle has taken place. Another tends to whistle a tune. Over time you'll discover what your miracle clues are, and it's good to know this since very often your "logical" mind will try to talk you out of enjoying the miracle!

Living in this state of creating miracles means you're living life as your higher self, rather than at the mercy of your human, earth self. Your earth self is here to help keep you alive, but we often get into the trap of thinking this is all there is. This body of muscle and skin and bones is all there is to us. Nonsense! When you're living as your highest self you aren't guided by fear or boredom, but by passion, intuition and excitement. This is your true essence, your soul expressing itself. When you're living with true purpose and joy it becomes a miraculous life rather than one based on completing a mission or sitting on the sidelines watching good things happen to other people.

Keep your eyes open for your own personal miracles. They might not always be huge and life-altering, but could offer you small reasons to smile and keep your confidence strong when your day is otherwise stressful. Keeping a miracle journal is a great way to focus on the positive in your life and truly become a magnet for miracles. Go back over this journal and you'll see over time how many miracles you truly experience and how many more take place as you raise your aura energy.

How Do I Strengthen My Psychic Abilities?

The number one way to strengthen a psychic gift is to practice using it more often, every day if you can. Use it or lose it. You don’t need special equipment or stones or potions or what have you. All you need is yourself. Now, depending on which psychic ability you’re working on will determine how you should strengthen it.

If you want to clearer dream messages from your guides, deceased loved ones, your higher self, or even your soul mate, while you lay in bed at night and before falling asleep ask your guides (or whomever) to come into your dream. Ask a question and for them to make their messages clear, and tell yourself that you’ll remember the dream when you wake up. As soon as you awake from the dream write it down. Keep a notebook and pen by your bed just for this purpose. Over time you should find that your dreams become more focused and helpful.

If you want to sharpen your gift of psychometry (being able to read objects), an excellent way to do this is to visit antique stores. Take your notebook and pen with you and if an object seems to catch your attention, hold it and see what information you get. Sometimes there’s no way to check if what you’re feel or see is true, but it’s still a very good way to hone this ability. You can also get a few envelopes and have a friend or family member put a photo in each envelope and seal it. You can then choose one envelope and write down in your notebook, or say aloud, what you sense is inside. You don’t have to be right on the money, but you could sense a color, object, or time period. Do this with each envelope then open them and see how close you were.

Should I focus on my strongest psychic ability or all of them?

Every good psychic is well-rounded. Even if you don’t plan to offer your psychic readings professionally and only want to do it for yourself, it’s good to focus on all psychic abilities. Over time you may find that some come and go, one is strongest and one or a couple others are there but not as strong, or you could uncover other abilities you never knew you possessed.

In my own experience I started out doing automatic writing and getting in contact with my higher self and spirit guides. I then tried tarot, psychometry, lucid dreaming, dowsing, and many more. There’s not much I haven’t tried and it was very eye-opening and exciting. Through my journeys I discovered that I’m very good at reading past lives, connecting with spirit guides, psychic empathy, and clairvoyance, along with a few others. I also found out that I’m not very good at finding lost objects or dowsing. When I think over everything I’ve explored it really excites me because it opened new doorways that forever would have been closed had I not taken the initiative to give it a try. I also met a lot of interesting and wonderful people along the way.

Focus on your strongest trait and always work on this, but try new things all the time. You may be surprised at what you find!

The Chakras - Energy Centers Of The Body

 What Are Chakras?

Not everyone believes in the presence of chakras, but if you think of them as energy centers within your body, a bit like smaller auras, it’s easier to imagine. These centers are conduits for universal energy, linking your consciousness and higher mind.

Think of yourself as a whole lot of energy contained in a flesh and blood vessel. If you want to strengthen your psychic abilities you need to strengthen your energy centers. When your chakras are balanced you’ll feel more at peace, have a clearer mind, feel more connected to Spirit, will be healthier, and your intuition will be heightened.

“Chakra” is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel or vortex, and refers to the many energy centers of your body. These energy centers are not visible to the human eye, though intuitive people are able to see chakras in their mind's eye.

There are hundreds of chakras in the human body, but we only need to focus on the seven main chakras that line up from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Each chakra has a particular color associated with it and represents certain aspects of your physical, emotional, and spiritual body. The chakras are made of pure energy and each one spins with its own unique vibration, gathering and releasing energy as they turn.

Your physical health can play a huge role on your spiritual health and vice versa. If one or more of your chakras are out of balance then it will affect your spiritual energy. Once this is out of whack a whole host of ailments—mental, physical, emotional and spiritual—can crop up.

Three Steps To Happiness

Think about your life for a moment. Are you very happy, moderately happy, kind of happy, or perhaps rarely? The truth is that there are few people who consider themselves very or even moderately happy with their current lives.

First, it’s completely normal to have ups and downs. There’s no way that you can feel deliriously happy day and night. We have stress and problems and brain chemicals and hormones all wreaking havoc on our happiness, but if you find that your bad days outweigh the good then it’s time to step back and take a look at your life.

What are happier people doing that you aren’t? Here's one tip that will get you started on the road to happiness. It might seem too simple, but trust me, if you just start with this one suggestion you can have many more days where you feel positive and way less negative days.

Toss It Out

Yep, it's that plain and simple if you want to start living a happier life. We live in a society where too much is never enough. In reality, humans only need a few things to feel comfortable and happy. You need shelter, food, clothing, loved ones, and maybe a few personal items you enjoy having around. Any more than that and it’s just a burden.

1. Are your cupboards and closets filled with junk you haven’t used in years? If so, start tossing it out. It may be difficult at first but you’ll soon feel a sense of freedom. While you’re at it, get rid of all the junk food and junk people too. You aren’t doing your mind, body, or soul any good by interacting with people who make you angry or miserable, or filling your body with foods that are bad for you. 

2. This tip also goes for your negative thoughts. Like attracts like and if your mind is playing and replaying everything bad that has, is, and may happen to you then you're blocking the way for any positive energy or people to find you. Every time you catch yourself thinking something negative, mentally (or out loud) say "stop!" and replace it with something positive. What I did was to write down a list of twenty positive things in my life--past, present, future--and each time something bad popped into my mind I'd get out my list and replace it with something positive. While thinking or reading your positive statements, smile to yourself and place your right hand over your heart. This will help recondition your mind for happiness.

3. What about the people in your life? Of course, we sometimes have to work with or are related to people that annoy us, frustrate us, or just bring us down. Your best bet is to minimize your time spent around them. And, if it's someone you honestly don't need or want in your life, why not break off the relationship? In order to be truly happy you need to surround yourself with positive, happy people.

Once you get rid of these  things it will leave you with a lot of open space. Let the Universe help you fill those spaces with things that are more positive, happy and healthy for you!
